U21 Boys Testing Their Fitness for European Championships
Before heading to Georgia and Romania for the European Championships, our U21 national team will be testing Japan’s U21 team in Frankfurt this Friday. The match provides an excellent opportunity for Antonio Di Salvo, the DFB coach to assess the fitness and skills of his players before the tournament.
Five Professionals Unavailable
Though this match will be an excellent opportunity for our U21, it comes with some setbacks as five professionals have been called up to the senior national team. Mergim Berisha, Kevin Schade, Felix Nmecha, Josha Vagnoman, and Malik Thiaw will all be unavailable for the match.
New Comers in the U21 Squad
Despite the setbacks, two new players, Henning Matriciani (Schalke 04) and Kenneth Schmidt (SC Freiburg), will be part of the U21 squad for the first time for this match.
Di Salvo on New Players
