Due to high demand: Fourth c't webinar on ChatGPT on May 23, 2023

C’t to Host Fourth Webinar on ChatGPT and AI Text Tools

On May 23, 2023, c’t will host its fourth webinar on the practical use of ChatGPT and other AI text tools. The previous three webinars, which took place in March and April, sold out quickly due to high demand. In response, c’t is offering a new edition of the webinar that has been adapted to incorporate the latest developments.

The webinar aims to help people understand new technologies and their impact on work, industries, and companies. It provides answers to questions such as: Why is ChatGPT experiencing such an influx? Is the hype justified? And what is changing now or very soon for many people?

The AI voice bot ChatGPT, which was officially launched in December, attracted a million users in just two days. More than 100 million people are now using the service.

Over the course of the two and a half hour webinar, c’t editors Jo Bager and Hartmut Gieselmann will provide a detailed and practical introduction to how ChatGPT works, its capabilities, and its limitations. They will also look beyond the voice bot to other AI text tools that are bringing about fundamental changes in many industries.

The webinar will also address legal implications, including copyright issues. Jörg Heidrich, legal counsel at Heise Medien, will classify ChatGPT and the texts written with AI language tools and introduce language tools that can be used with ChatGPT and other language models.

The c’t experts will present a selection of tools for specific sectors, such as education, media companies, marketing, search engine optimization, and customer service. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions after each thematic block.

The webinar costs EUR 49.90 (all prices including VAT) and a discount is available for subscribers to c’t and heise+. The recording of the webinar and other materials provided can be accessed afterwards.

In addition, c’t is offering another webinar on May 24, 2023, which will provide clarity on data protection and copyright issues when using AI generators in the professional environment. It will deepen one of the program items from the general webinar.
