Change of Presenter on First Dates: Lidia Torrent leaves the Show
One of Spain’s most popular dating shows, ‘First Dates,’ has suffered a massive loss with Lidia Torrent’s departure. Torrent, one of the most recognizable faces of the program, was a waitress on the show since 2016.
However, she was absent from the program due to her maternity leave and was replaced by Elsa Anka, her mother. Now, after seven years in the reality show presented by Carlos Sobera, Torrent has decided to leave the program to undertake new projects.
His replacement will be Laura Boado, a contestant on the current broadcast season of ‘The Island of Temptations.’ The model has joined the team of Sobera, Matías Roure, and the twins Cristina and Marisa Zapata and is already making the recordings that will be broadcast at the end of May.
Torrent’s farewell to ‘First Dates’
Torrent bid a fond farewell to the show and her team of seven years through her social media accounts. She wrote, “I close a cycle in ‘First Dates’ that has been full of good moments and unforgettable experiences. The whole team has been my family during these years in which we have shared endless hours of recording. Being part of this project has been a dream.”
Torrent expressed her gratitude towards the team and the show that she was a part of for seven long years. She also said that it was a master’s degree in life and profession.
Boado’s excitement on joining ‘First Dates’
On the other hand, Laura Boado is excited to be joining ‘First Dates’. She said, “I am looking forward to taking advantage of this incredible opportunity that I have been given to grow personally and professionally in a program that I love.”
It has been a dream come true for Boado to be on a program like this, and she is eager to make the most of it. She will bring her unique energy to the show, and we can’t wait to see what she has in store for us.
