FC Bayern Munich Launches Anti-racism Weeks as Record Champions

FC Bayern Munich: record champions start anti-racism weeks

FC Bayern Takes a Strong Stand Against Racism

In the next two weeks, FC Bayern is gearing up to take up the fight against racism, exclusion, and discrimination. The team will pay close attention to this issue starting with the women’s game against Arsenal. This XXL campaign “Red against Racism” will take place in the Allianz Arena to mark the “International Day Against Racism”.

On April 1, during the match against Dortmund, the stars of Julian Nagelsmann (35) will send a clear signal. Herbert Hainer (68), the team’s president, emphasized the importance of this initiative stating, “Too many people think racism doesn’t affect them, even though everyday racism is a big problem. Racism must not have any leeway either in sport or in our society.”

The women’s games against Wolfsburg, basketball games against AS Monaco and Ludwigsburg, as well as the Kracher against Dortmund, are all part of the “Reds against Racism” initiative. Hainer further emphasized: “As FC Bayern, we regularly take a stand against discrimination of all kinds with our ‘Red Against Racism’ initiative. We work all year round with various campaigns, and we want to achieve a lasting discussion of the issue.”

The team, along with the main sponsor Deutsche Telekom, is also supporting “Against Hatred on the Net” campaign. The aim is to sensitize users to better and more respectful online interaction. Thomas Müller, Leroy Sané, and Leon Goretzka will take part in an emotional video presenting hate comments from social networks that affect the stars.

FC Bayern is committed to their stand against racism, discrimination, and bullying, and is using their platform to create a lasting impact on society.
