Borussia Mönchengladbach: Eleven Gladbachers on an international trip!

Borussia Mönchengladbach will see eleven of its pros head to their respective national teams for international matches next week. Jonas Hofmann, the team’s best scorer in the Bundesliga, was not nominated by Germany’s national coach Hansi Flick. Instead, numerous players from the Gladbach team will participate in games across Europe and beyond.

Switzerland’s national coach Murat Yakin has nominated Gladbach’s Jonas Omlin and Nico Elvedi, who are set to play against Belarus on Saturday (March 25) and Israel on Tuesday (March 28).

France’s national coach Didier Deschamps has called up Marcus Thuram for the upcoming EURO 2024 qualifying games. The nation will play against the Netherlands on Friday (March 24) and Ireland on Monday (March 27).

Luxembourg’s Yvandro Borges and U17 keeper Tiago Pereira Cardoso will participate in their team’s European Championship qualifiers against Slovakia and Portugal.

In the Kirin Challenge Cup, Japan’s national team has selected Keanan Bennetts and Ramy Bnesebaini for upcoming games against Uruguay and Colombia.

Joe Scally has been called up by the USA coach Gregg Berhalter for the CONCACF Nations League games. The team will play in Grenada on Saturday (March 25) and host the El Salvador team on Tuesday (March 28).

Ramy Bnesebaini will join the Algerian national team for qualifying for the Africa Cup of Nations. The team will play against Niger twice.

Luca Netz and Jordan Beyer will both participate in friendly matches with the German U21 team, while Oscar Fraulo will represent Denmark U21 in their matches against Ukraine and Switzerland.

While Hofmann did not receive the coveted nomination, Gladbach fans can still look forward to seeing their team represented across various international matches.
