Fortuna Düsseldorf’s young talent Jona Niemiec seals long-term deal until 2026!

Fortuna Düsseldorf: Juwel agrees – Jona Niemiec signs until 2026!

Fortuna Düsseldorf had a mega weekend with a resounding victory against Hansa Rostock (5:2) and an important transfer market win. The club secured the commitment of Jona Niemiec, a valuable player for the future, who signed on until 2026.

According to BILD, Niemiec accepted the revised Fortuna offer and will soon sign a new three-year contract. His previous contract was set to expire in the summer, but with this new deal, Klaus Allofs avoids losing another striker for free.

Niemiec’s rapid rise to success has attracted interest from several other clubs, but Fortuna was able to retain him with a significant salary increase. With bonuses, Niemiec could earn up to €250,000 annually in the 2nd league, with the chance to earn even more if the club achieves promotion.

Coach Daniel Thioune has emphasized the team’s need for speed, and Niemiec’s performance on the field proves him to be one of the fastest Düsseldorf players this season. In fact, in the game against Gladbach II, he was clocked at 36.4 km/h, making him the third-fastest player in the Bundesliga after Karim Adeyemi and Moussa Diaby.

Niemiec made his first appearance for the Fortuna pros in February and has impressed the club with his performance, earning him his first professional contract. With his talent and the team’s drive for success, the rise to the Bundesliga could be just around the corner.
