DFB Star Late for Secret Team Meal, Misses Departure

He missed the departure: DFB star too late at a secret team meal

DFB Stars Come Together for Secret Team Evening at Frankfurt’s Zenzakan

On Wednesday evening, the stars of the national German football team arrived at the posh Asian restaurant, Zenzakan, for a secret team evening. Led by Frankfurt goalkeeper Kevin Trapp, the DFB stars were smartly dressed and guarded by three security men as they made their way into the basement of the restaurant via a staircase.

Among the national team members were Havertz, Schlotterbeck, Wolf, and Werner, but one notable absence was Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz. The midfielder missed the descent at the team hotel, Melia Frankfurt City, and was later taken to Zenzakan by special trip.

The team evening was planned by the DFB squad itself as a way to grow together as a solid team. However, the national coach, Hansi Flick, and his staff were not present at the gathering. The evening was meant to help the new professionals in the team, such as Malik Thiaw and Josha Vagnoman, bond with the more experienced players.

The team evening ended at 9:53 p.m., with Bayern star Leon Goretzka being the first to leave the restaurant. The last were Serge Gnabry and goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen, who jokingly walked out of the restaurant arm in arm.

DFB stars have met at Zenzakan several times in the past, and Eintracht Frankfurt players also regularly visit the restaurant. The team evening was a chance for the national team members to come together, bond, and prepare for their upcoming international matches against Peru and Belgium.
