DAZN Brings Celebrity Big Brother and Boxing Together with Tom Schwarz’s Explosive Fight

Boxing, Celebrity Big Brother: DAZN lets Tom Schwarz's fight burst

Professional boxer Tom Schwarz had plans to make a comeback on May 27, 2022, organized by winner of “Celebrity Big Brother,” Rainer Gottwald. Schwarz was set to be the star of the event in Villingen-Schwenningen and fight in front of thousands of spectators. However, the streaming platform DAZN dropped the project, leaving Schwarz without a fight.

This decision from DAZN came after Schwarz faced allegations for breaking his ex-fiancé Tessa S.’s jaw three times in May 2020. Although the ex-opponent of world champion Tyson Fury was allowed to continue boxing, broadcasters such as MDR refused to air any of his fights.

Gottwald’s promotion company was contacted by DAZN when they learned that Schwarz was scheduled to fight. His fight was then removed from the card. In response, pop singer Annemarie Eilfeld spoke out to BILD, praising the decision and expressing that “violence against women must not be forgotten.”

It seems that Schwarz’s past actions have caught up with him, and he will have to find a different avenue to make his comeback. While some may argue that he should be allowed to continue his career, it is crucial to take a stand against violence and send a clear message that it will not be tolerated in any form, including in the world of sports.
