Several individuals were recently convicted for insider trading in NFTs and cryptocurrencies, marking the first judgments of this kind. The culprits had knowledge of which crypto-related items their employers were soon planning to publicize, which they used to unlawfully enrich themselves. While some received up to two years in prison, others managed to avoid jail time.

Ahead of the Google I/O developer conference, several announcements have already been made, including the unveiling of a new AI language model, new Pixel devices including a folding smartphone, and Android 14. Google hopes to personalize its search results through the use of AI and video clips, targeting younger internet users in particular.

The developers behind Mozilla Thunderbird celebrated a record-breaking year, receiving over $6.4 million in donations – more than twice the amount from last year. The project primarily relies on these donations to operate, with plans to introduce new tools and services to increase productivity while keeping the email client itself free of charge.

Despite predictions of SSD prices stabilizing in the second half of the year, one of the largest SSD controller manufacturers issued a warning about possible consequences, particularly for NAND flash producers, should losses continue to accumulate. Meanwhile, many AI chips are being developed not only for acceleration, but also for more efficient processing of specific tasks beyond what general-purpose processors can handle.
