Christian Streich Renews Contract with SC Freiburg

SC Freiburg: Christian Streich extends his contract

SC Freiburg Extends Coach Christian Streich’s Contract

SC Freiburg has extended the contract of coach Christian Streich (57) before the second leg of the Europa League round of 16 against Juve on Thursday. This move comes as no surprise for the football teacher who always extends his papers for another year, which means he will continue to be on the Breisgauer sidelines next season. Maintaining an honest exchange and having a special constellation at the club are top priorities for Streich.

Streich has been in charge of the Breisgau team for 430 competitive games, making the extension year after year a formality. The coach decides for himself when he wants to have his contract renewed, ensuring a mutual and beneficial agreement between the parties involved.

The board members of SC Freiburg, which include Oliver Leki (50/finance) and Jochen Saier (44/sport), have also extended their employment in Freiburg until 2027. The sports director and prank buddy Klemens Hartenbach (58) also stays. This move was a positive development for Freiburg bosses, who are eager to continue their special relationship with Streich and his team.

Saier expressed his happiness with the extension, stating, “We are really happy to be able to continue working in this very special constellation in terms of content and people. The coaching team around Christian Streich works day after day with great attention to detail and with maximum commitment to the development of our team.”

Assistant coaches Lars Voßler, Patrick Baier, and Florian Bruns will also remain with the sports club, creating a cohesive and unified team for the future.
