Bayern Munich’s Comeback: The Star that Nagelsmann Fears

FC Bayern: The back! Nagelsmann must tremble for this star

Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, the 33-year-old Cameroon clipper, is currently facing back problems, leaving him unable to take part in Bayern’s team training session on Wednesday. Despite starting an individual running session, he had to leave the field after just two laps on Saturday and reserve training the next day.

Trainer Julian Nagelsmann has explained that Choupo has problems with his back, which are radiating into his leg muscles. The pain has not subsided even on the days off on Monday and Tuesday, leaving Bayern fans trembling for Choupo’s quick recovery.

While Lucas Hernández, who is currently undergoing reconstruction after a cruciate ligament rupture, completed running laps with rehab coach Simon Martinello on both days, Choupo has apparently not yet been able to work on his comeback on the pitch.

Bayern Munich may face a big loss if Choupo fails to recover in time for their league game on Sunday against Leverkusen. The attacker has already scored ten goals and provided two assists in the Bundesliga, and he is an essential part of the table leadership of Munich.

Although Bayern has a cancellation clause, they are unlikely to pull it given Choupo’s recent performance. With only three training days left on Thursday to get fit, Bayern fans are keeping their fingers crossed for Choupo-Moting’s speedy recovery.
