Audi Q4 e-tron Gets OTA Interface and Faster Charging for E-Car Users

E-Car: Update for Audi Q4 e-tron with OTA interface and higher charging capacity

Audi has announced a software update for its Q4 e-tron and Q4 Sportback e-tron models. The update, which has been developed to bring all vehicles up to date from the start of series production to model year 2022, includes the OTA interface and increases charging power up to 135 kW under certain conditions.

The update aimed to improve consumption and uses a new feature to limit the battery charge level to 80% automatically to extend its lifespan. “Preferred charging time” and “Plug & Charge” are new charging functions to make charging with AC more flexible.

The current update extends the older versions of Audi connect by allowing customers with a charging contract for the Audi charging service to use Plug & Charge. In addition, personalization of the ambience enables Audi theme worlds, with background images on the middle screen and Amazon’s Alexa2 voice service.

Audi aims to personally inform customers by their dealers in the first quarter of 2023 about the procedure for installing them, staggered by time and region.
