The headset, scheduled for release this summer, is intended to combine augmented reality with virtual reality, with internal sources claiming there is no single compelling reason to buy it, while others chose not to work on the project due to potential doubts. Previous hardware delays and high pricing have also caused issues. The device will initially be aimed at creative app developers with Hollywood co-operation, the article added.
