Tensions have been growing between PSG and the city of Paris due to the offensive chants made by the Parisian crowd on Saturday night.

The PSG-Lille match on Saturday, February 10 at Parc des Princes was marked by homophobic chants and sexist insults directed at the mayor of Paris and her team. As a result, the city of Paris announced on Tuesday that they will be taking legal action.

The city of Paris condemns the chants heard during PSG-Losc.

The complaint is also being filed by Anne Hidalgo due to the sexist insults directed at the mayor of Paris. “Through her lawyer, the city has taken legal action so that light can be shed on these events and that all responsibilities are recognized,” the municipality stated in its press release.

The incidents are related to the ongoing dispute between the club and the city regarding the management of the Parc des Princes.

Alongside the legal action, the Professional Football League is also involved in this matter. These insults are a result of the ongoing dispute between Paris Saint-Germain and the city of Paris in the complicated management of the Parc des Princes.
