The disappearance of this ring had alarmed the Ritz, a famous hotel in the 1st arrondissement of Paris. A Malaysian tourist had filed a complaint for the theft of a diamond-set ring valued at 750,000 euros. The tourist, who was staying at the luxury hotel, explained that she had left the hotel on Friday morning, leaving her 6.51-carat diamond ring on a table in her room. But when she returned around 11:30, the exceptionally valuable piece of jewelry was nowhere to be found.

“Integrity and professionalism”

The customer suspected a Ritz employee, a prestigious hotel that is renowned for its extremely thorough staff recruitment. Immediately after filing a complaint with the police station, the police opened an investigation for “theft in a dwelling,” which was entrusted to the Brigade de Répression du Banditisme.

“Thanks to the meticulous work of the Ritz Paris security agents, the ring was found” on Sunday morning, the establishment stated to Le Parisien, also thanking the “collaborators” of the hotel, who were initially suspected, “who work every day with integrity and professionalism.”
