Haftzettel, also known as Haftbefehl, was once a scandal rapper who glorified easy money, extravagant cars, and drug use in his lyrics. However, in a recent RTL interview, the 37-year-old rapper spoke candidly about the dark side of his lifestyle, making a shocking confession to his audience.
The musician revealed that at one point, he consumed 50 bottles of nitrous oxide on a daily basis for three months straight. He then went on to explain that the drug stopped working for him after that, leaving him in a terrible state of mind.
This revelation sheds light on the troubled times that Haftzettel had been going through. Fans of the rapper would have been surprised and hugely disappointed when they saw his performance in Mannheim in August 2022, where he was completely dazed and unable to finish his set. He was visibly staggering and could hardly stand on his feet.
Haftzettel admits that he was under the influence of nitrous oxide at the time, which contributed to his inability to perform that day. His wife, Nina Hahn, also had to endure the effects of his drug use. She remembers seeing him sitting on the couch for hours, completely out of it.
The couple has been together for 13 years, and they have been married for seven. They currently live in Dubai, away from the public eye, where Haftzettel claims to have given up alcohol entirely.
Reflecting on his habit, Haftzettel shares that he was introduced to nitrous oxide by a friend and that the drug was readily available in Germany. He now believes that it should be banned as it can be highly addictive and dangerous.
