Which salons and showrooms to visit on the sidelines of fashion shows?

A bustling fashion week is on the way in Paris. The kickoff starts on January 16 and runs until January 21, showcasing the masculine collections for the autumn-winter 2024/25 season. In addition to the highly anticipated second show by Pharrell Williams for Louis Vuitton, there will be professional salons and showrooms featuring a variety of French and international exhibitors.

True to its support for young designers, the Sphere showroom is returning to the Palais de Tokyo on January 17, featuring the work of six international and promising designers focused on contemporary menswear. This includes the masculine silhouettes by Valette Studio showcased at the Sphere showroom.

Operated by the Federation de la haute couture et de la mode (FHCM) with the support of DEFI and L’Oreal Paris, Sphere this season is highlighting the Made in France proposal of young and engaged stylist Jeanne Friot, as well as the poetic silhouettes of designer Steven Passaro, the artisanal wardrobe of Lagos Space Programme, the sustainable workwear collection of Ouest Paris, and the redefinition of masculine tailoring with a touch of chic streetwear by Pierre-Francois Valette of Valette Studio. Alongside these brands, the showroom will also feature Finnish designer Rolf Ekroth, who has shown at Copenhagen Fashion Week since last summer.

Sphere will take place from September 17 until January 21, 2024 at the Palais de Tokyo, 13 avenue du President Wilson, Paris.

Moving on to the Tranoi salon, its next edition begins on January 18 at the Gaite Lyrique in Paris. This season, Tranoi will showcase Chinese, South Korean, Chilean, Peruvian, and African fashion, in addition to labels like Portuguese David Catalán, Dutch Elegantaste, and Hong Kong’s Harrisson Wong. French representation will include Ekivoc and Gunther from Paris. Around 50 designers are expected to attend.

Tranoi will run from January 18 to January 20, 2024 at the Gaite Lyrique, 3bis rue Papin, Paris.

Meanwhile, the Paris edition of Man (twin of the Woman salon) will be held at two iconic locations in Paris – the Pavillon Vendome and the Hotel d’Evreux. This independent salon will present 87 menswear collections with a third of them being from Japanese brands, and will put a spotlight on Japanese fashion.

Man will take place from January 19 to January 21, 2024 at the Pavillon Vendome and the Hotel d’Evreux, 19 Place Vendome, Paris.

The upcoming session of Who’s Next will be a major event in the fashion industry, with nearly 1,800 exhibitors expected at the Porte de Versailles, showcasing streetwear labels and other international brands at this BtoB event.

Who’s Next will be held from January 20 to January 22, 2024 at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, 1 place de la porte de Versailles, Paris.

Finally, the British showroom Welcome Edition will host around 100 French and international brands in two locations in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, showcasing menswear and contemporary accessories.
