Violent Attack in Paris on the Bir-Hakeim Bridge: Man Fighting for His Life After Being Stabbed, Attackers on the Run

A man was violently attacked with a knife by two individuals in Paris on Tuesday, January 2nd, at the level of the Bir-Hakeim bridge. His two attackers are being sought.

New assault on the Bir-Hakeim bridge in Paris: a man was stabbed several times on Tuesday, January 2nd in the morning by two attackers who are still on the run, reports Actu 17 and Le Figaro.

The incident took place at the Trocadéro metro station at around 6 a.m., and began, according to initial investigations, with what appears to be a dispute between the victim and his attackers.

The assault was violent: the victim was hit several times in the chest, legs, and abdomen. Transported to the European Georges Pompidou Hospital in the 15th arrondissement, his life is in danger.

“The assault was filmed by the city’s video surveillance,” a source close to the investigation told Actu 17. The two attackers are still at large.

On December 3rd, the Bir-Hakeim bridge was the scene of another assault, in which Armand Rajabpour-Miyandoab, a 26-year-old Franco-Iranian, killed a German tourist of Philippine origin with a knife. He then attacked two other people. When he committed the act, he had shouted “Allah Akbar” several times, as Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin had specified.
