VIDEO: PFL Paris – He was hitting his wife, I called the police – Cédric Doumbé opens up about his former coach Fernand Lopez

Cédric Doumbé, the fighter who swiftly defeated Jordan Zébo, took the opportunity to speak out about his former coach, Fernand Lopez. In just a few seconds, Doumbé knocked out Zébo during the highly anticipated PFL Paris match. After his victory, Doumbé stated, “You know very well who got knocked out, it’s not Jordan. The one who got knocked out is the one who hits his wife, who used to hit his ex-wife.”

During a press conference, the French-Cameroonian fighter provided further details regarding his statement. Doumbé stated, “I wanted to protect the victim from being exposed. I thought it was the right moment for people to understand why I left that place, why I don’t like this person…”

“I am fighting Fernand Lopez”

“I really wanted people to know that she was my second fight… and ultimately, my first fight. Like I said, I’m not fighting Jordan, we need to change the focus, I am fighting Fernand Lopez,” explained Cédric Doumbé. He was formerly a member of MMA Factory, a structure set up by Fernand Lopez, who is the coach for Jordan Zébo and Ciryl Gane.

“It’s domestic violence that I am knocking out, it’s the one who hit his wife when I was in his gym. It’s something I experienced over the phone, live. I called the police and they intervened,” Doumbé also revealed to the numerous journalists present.

Fernand Lopez has previously been mentioned in relation to violence. In April of this year, independent journalist Romain Molina mentioned a “strangulation” during a show broadcast on YouTube and Twitch. Following Cédric Doumbé’s statement, Molina wrote, “I will release the documents this Sunday.”
