Suspected of forcing two young underage girls into prostitution in the 19th district of Paris, two men were placed in police custody on Saturday, February 10 in Paris for aggravated pimping, as learned from police sources this Monday by Le Figaro, confirming the information from Le Parisien. The custody of a woman, who had also been arrested, was lifted, the investigators having found that she was not guilty.

It is in an apartment on Avenue de Flandres that police officers from the brigade for the protection of minors, assisted by officers from the 19th district police station, intervened on Saturday afternoon, suspecting the confinement of a young underage girl who had been forced into prostitution.

A geolocation of her phone

Upon their arrival at the scene at 4:40 p.m., an intoxicated man brandished a blade in front of the police officers who managed to control him using a taser. In the apartment, another man and a woman are also present and also intoxicated. The three individuals were arrested and then placed in police custody. On the spot, the officers found the missing young girl, as well as another young girl.

It all started with the escape of a minor, on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, from the shelter where she was living. She then contacted her father by phone on Friday, February 9, informing him that she had been kidnapped and was being held captive. Finally, a geolocation of her phone allowed her to be found and led to the three arrests. According to information from the Paris Prosecutor’s Office transmitted to Le Parisien, “at this stage the investigations do not reveal any indication of kidnapping or confinement”. The brigade for the protection of minors has been seized.
