Revealed at LOSC and having also played for ASSE, Christophe Landrin is one of the players who have worn the PSG shirt. He joined the Paris club in 2005 after leaving Lille as a free agent. Landrin signed with PSG, something he could have done a few months earlier if it wasn’t for a serious injury…

Leny Yoro and Lucas Chevalier are in PSG’s sights, so they could leave LOSC and join the French capital. This is a path already taken by several players in the past, including Christophe Landrin. A player for PSG during the 2005-2006 season, he arrived in Paris after his time at LOSC, his home club.

“I was supposed to sign with PSG”
Former ASSE player Christophe Landrin spoke to the media of the Greens. When asked about a failed transfer, he revealed a missed opportunity to join PSG, saying: “I was supposed to sign with PSG when I suffered a double fracture against TFC.”

In the end, it was only postponed as Christophe Landrin eventually joined PSG in 2015, at the end of his contract with LOSC: “LOSC, and I perfectly understood, did not want to extend my contract. Eighteen months later, the deadline, in this case the end of my contract, came. I was free. There was therefore no question of transfer fee, market value, all data that can sometimes pollute negotiations. In any case, it was never my thing, my main motivation. And in the end, I joined PSG.”

“It was a game situation, an accident”
Prevented from joining PSG due to a serious injury, Christophe Landrin stated: “My most cruel disillusionment? My serious injury with Lille against Toulouse in 2004. On a ball between two players, I put my foot down and turned my head. The contact was inevitable. It was a game situation, an accident. I never held a grudge against my opponent. But this double fracture of the tibial plateau kept me away from the field for many months.”
