Four criteria have been selected to establish this ranking. This year, Le Parisien has decided to highlight colleges that help their students progress. The value added index, which compares the average score obtained by an establishment in the brevet exam to the expected score (calculated based on the academic and socio-professional characteristics of the students), accounts for 30% of the final score. The average score obtained by the college in the brevet exam is given the same coefficient. The diversity of social profiles of the students accounts for 25% of the score, and the student support rate, which evaluates the ability to keep students from 6th grade to 9th grade, accounts for 15%.
