Tony Estanguet, President of Paris 2024: A Questionable Compensation

“I do not decide on my remuneration or its framework,” reacted Tony Estanguet last night on the sidelines of the inauguration of the Annette Kellerman pool in La Courneuve, near Paris. “I trust what was decided at the time,” he said. “Since the beginning of the creation of the organizing committee, there has been a remuneration committee with independent experts, a board of directors who have taken a position, the services of the State, and a general economic and financial control from Bercy that have framed my level of remuneration, the status of my remuneration.” And the head of the Games added, “We will make ourselves available as we have done from the beginning to answer the questions that will be asked of us.”
