Threat to Crew Forces Oran-Paris Flight to be Diverted to Toulouse

A 24-year-old Franco-Algerian passenger was arrested and hospitalized under psychiatric care after disrupting a flight. Another passenger, 67, experienced respiratory problems and fainted on the flight to Orly.

A Transavia flight from Oran to Paris was urgently diverted to Toulouse-Blagnac Airport following multiple incidents. A 67-year-old man fainted during the flight. The crew sought help for him after the plane landed and he was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening conditions.

Another passenger caused a scene by insulting and threatening cabin crew members. Police arrested him for disrupting the flight and making death threats. From discussions with his mother, it was revealed that the disruptive passenger suffers from depression but did not take his prescribed medication. He has a criminal record involving multiple offenses including violent crimes and drug trafficking.

Although the flight was redirected due to a medical emergency, it was the behavior of the disruptive passenger that led the crew to take action. They planned to file a complaint upon arrival in Paris.

While the incident caused unease among the passengers and crew, it ultimately illustrates the dangers and challenges airlines and staff face.
