This Avenue in Paris is Among the Most Expensive in the World

The Avenue des Champs-Élysées gets dressed in its finest lights as the holiday season approaches. According to the annual ranking by the American real estate consulting company Cushman & Wakefield, the Avenue des Champs-Élysées is in the top 5 of the most expensive shopping streets in the world.

While the most famous avenue in France is working to renovate and improve its image, it ranks fifth among the most expensive shopping streets in the world. The top spot goes to New York’s Fifth Avenue. Then, Via Montenapoleone (Milan), Tsim Sha Tsui (Hong Kong), and New Bond Street (London) complete the list.

To establish this list, the company relied on the average rents of commercial streets.

According to Cushman & Wakefield, Europe has three of the five most expensive shopping streets in the world, with Via Montenapoleone in Milan (2nd), New Bond Street in London (4th), and the Avenue des Champs-Élysées in Paris (5th).

As for the French market, it occupies half of the top 10 most expensive streets in Europe, driven by the prospect of the Paris 2024 Olympics.
