The Real Madrid refuses to release its French players.

Eduardo Camavinga, Ferland Mendy, and Aurélien Tchouaméni could be affected by this decision from the Spanish club, taken before a very busy summer with the Euro and then the Olympics.

The Spanish club Real Madrid has informed the French Football Federation (FFF) that it will not allow its French players to participate in the Paris Olympics, from July 24 to August 10, as Radio France Sports Management learned from sources close to the Spanish club, confirming information from the newspaper L’Equipe.

Real Madrid has three players eligible for the Olympics: Eduardo Camavinga, Ferland Mendy, and Aurélien Tchouaméni. Additionally, the club will not allow its other players, who will be involved in the Euro or the Copa America, to compete in the Olympics. “If we don’t defend the health of the players, who will?” explains the same source to Radio France Sports Management.
