The Paris City Hall Refuses to Halt Negotiations

Invited on the airwaves of France Info this Sunday at noon, Pierre Rabadan, deputy mayor of Paris in charge of Sports, insists on the need to continue discussions with PSG regarding the Parc des Princes. “The dialogue must resume. Anne Hidalgo did not decide not to sell. No one voted for the sale. We need to meet, time has passed, we need to change our attitude, no one should be taken hostage. The club has a contract with the Parc until 2043. We want the same thing as the supporters, we want PSG to stay at the Parc des Princes. This is where the club was created, grew, and made its history,” said the elected official, at a time when tensions have reached their peak between the club and the city.

Present at the Porte de La Chapelle for the inauguration of the Adidas Arena of the Paris Basket, Emmanuel Grégoire reiterated that the dialogue with PSG will never stop, in the wake of the banners against Anne Hidalgo and hostile chants: “What we want is to no longer have dialogue with PSG through the press. The rest is in-between, and I do not want to make comments through the press. PSG will never leave the Parc des Princes,” said the first deputy of the City of Paris. The standoff is far, very far from over between the Parisian elected officials and the Qatari leaders.
