The journey of the march against anti-Semitism unveiled

The Paris police prefecture revealed the plan that will be put in place on Sunday, November 13th in the capital, for the march against anti-Semitism.

Participants in the march “for the Republic and against anti-Semitism, for the France of Human Rights and for the united Nation (…)” have been informed about the details of the event on Sunday, November 10th.

In a statement released on Friday evening, the Paris police prefecture unveiled the details of the march launched at the call of Yaël Braun-Pivet and Gérard Larcher.

The march will begin at the Esplanade des Invalides in the 7th arrondissement of the capital at 3pm. However, those wishing to attend the march must arrive at the Invalides by 2pm.

The police prefecture continued in its statement, indicating that the march “will take the route of Avenue du Maréchal Galliéni, Quai d’Orsay, boulevards Saint-Germain, Saint-Michel”. The procession will end at 7pm at Place Edmond Rostand in the 6th arrondissement.

Traffic and public transportation impacted

Traffic restrictions will be put in place along the route to ensure the safety of the participants.

“It is strongly recommended for motorists to avoid the area during the event’s duration,” the police prefecture stated, warning that vehicles “parked along the route or nearby will be subject to relocation measures”.

There will also be disruptions in public transportation. Several metro and RER stations will be closed throughout the day. This includes Concorde station (M1, M8, M12), Assemblée Nationale (M12), Solférino (M12 and RER C), rue du Bac (M12), Saint-Germain-des-Prés (M4), Mabillon (M10), Odéon (M4 and M10), and Cluny-la-Sorbonne (M10).

Finally, regarding the security of the march organized this Sunday, Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin unveiled the police forces that will be deployed.

More than 3,000 law enforcement officers will be mobilized to maintain order. Elite units such as the BRI will also be deployed to “prevent anyone who would try to attack the participants”.
