The principal of Ravel high school (20th arrondissement of Paris) was threatened with death on social media after an altercation with three students who were asked to remove their veil. One of them, an adult student in a BTS program, ignored the directive and was allegedly “grabbed by the shoulder” and “grabbed by the arm” by the principal, according to the academy’s report. The student filed a complaint for “violence not resulting in work incapacity” and the principal for “intimidation act against a person participating in the execution of a public service mission to obtain an exemption from the rules governing this service.”
