Super Series: Dotchev Leads Aue to Victory with 3-0 Against 1860 Munich

1: 3 against 1860 Munich: Super series from Aue torn under Dotchev

FC Erzgebirge Aue experiences a setback with their latest game against TSV 1860 Munich. The final score was 1-3 with Stefan Lex scoring twice and Albion Vrenezi scoring for Munich in front of 10,869 spectators. Paul-Philipp Besong was successful for Aue.

This loss marks the first time Aue has lost at home under coach Pavel Dotchev. Unfortunately, Eric Majetschak and Sam Schreck were unavailable due to muscular problems, and Marvin Stefaniak was suspended after receiving his fifth yellow card. As a result, Alexander Sorge, Ivan Knezevic, and Borys Tashchy found themselves in the starting XI.

From the beginning, Munich dominated the game with Aue lacking in participation. Munich had a profusion of opportunities and almost secured an early lead when Philipp Steinhart hit the ball (5th minute) and Yannic Deichmann missed (11th minute). Finally, in the 15th minute, Lex hits from a central position, securing the lead for TSV – 0:1.

In the following minutes, 1860 accumulates another three chances to score. Meanwhile, Aue only managed to attract attention with several fouls, earning yellow cards in the 19th, 22nd, and 28th minutes.

In the 36th minute, Vrenezi scores from a fine counterattack, increasing Munich’s lead to 0:2. In the second half, Aue forces more playing time with the ball and enters larger areas of the opposing half, but they fail to yield any results. In the 59th minute, Lex scores again, making the score 0:3, and securing the game for TSV.

The 1:3 score added by Besong, who came on for Knezevic in the 67th minute, has little impact on the overall outcome of the game. Dotchev rotated Jonjic to the left flank, instead of Tashchy, which was deemed a poor decision by BILD commentator. Perhaps, switching Tashchy to the headquarters and Maximilian Thiel to the Stefaniak side would have been a more promising solution for Aue’s offensive lineup.

Dotchev now has until Wednesday to nominate his professionals for a new starting eleven, which they will launch in the quarter-finals of the Sachsenpokal at Chemnitzer FC.
