Stade Français Defeats Toulouse in Paris and Revives Momentum

The Parisians have returned to their winning ways after two consecutive losses. They defeated Toulouse once again with a score of 27-12 at Jean-Bouin. This victory came after a turbulent week due to an off-pitch issue for Stade Français Paris. Solid in defense and celebrating 140 years of their club, the players took the initiative and scored two tries by Barré and Laloi. The rivals Toulousians responded with tries of their own by Lebel and Barassi, but the Parisian players sealed their victory by adding another try by Barré.

The intensity of the match between the two historical rivals was evident from the start. Both teams displayed great vigor and tension, and Parisian team was determined to redeem their loss from the last derby. The Soldats Roses, as they are called in reference to their pink jerseys, held their ground during the first half. They won the war of the rucks and their heroic defending prevented the Rouge et Noir from gaining ground. Despite an attempt by Toulouse, Jean Bouin stadium was hopeful for Stade Francais to secure their fifth straight win against Stade Toulousain.

The second half of the match confirmed the superiority of the Pink Army as they continued to dominate the game. The addition of three more points and a second try further solidified their lead. Despite two tries by Toulouse, the Parisians maintained their lead and the victory was sealed by another brilliant performance from Léo Barré.

This victory comes after two defeats and it elevates Stade Français to the 5th place ahead of Toulouse. Toulouse, on the other hand, suffered yet another loss in Paris, a place where they haven’t won since March 2019. The next challenge for Stade Francais is their campaign in the Champions Cup against Cardiff, while Toulouse will face the Sale Sharks at the start of the intercontinental competition.
