Software AG Implements AI Technology in Company Applications

Software AG is now integrating AI into company applications

Software AG recently held its International Users Group Conference in Budapest, where generative AI and data transformation in Snowflake were the central topics of discussion. The German software manufacturer is actively incorporating generative AI into its iPaaS products, with ChatGPT and Aleph Alpha’s Luminous language model already integrated into the webmethods.io integration platform. One advantage of using Luminous is that it allows for easier integration of local data into the model. Software AG believes that the availability of connectors for various services enables customers to seamlessly integrate AI functions into their own integration processes. Examples of application scenarios include writing error messages or tickets, translating text segments, and generating code sequences. In addition, Software AG sees extensive added value in using AI systems, similar to SAP and Salesforce, and will present an application scenario for field matching between different systems at the conference. The company believes that the AI applications’ extensive database can provide helpful solutions based on simple task descriptions. The availability of a suitable framework allows Software AG to easily connect additional AI systems from third-party providers via the API in the future. Furthermore, Software AG expanded its data integration portfolio with the acquisition of StreamSets, a DataOps solution provider, allowing for handling of classic ETL processes. Through collaboration with Snowflake, data stored in Snowflake’s cloud database can now be re-transformed without the need for additional extraction operations. This eliminates the need to extract the data from Snowflake for further transformations in a Spark environment, as the Snowflake Data Transformer performs the transformation using the same UI and software used for data insertion into Snowflake.
