Server Issues Caused by DDoS Attack on Blizzard’s Battle.net

Battle.net Issues: DDoS attack on Blizzard servers causing server issues

Blizzard’s online games, including “Diablo 4” and “World of Warcraft”, have been experiencing login issues since Sunday morning. Players have been encountering a bug that leads to strange error messages, such as “Unable to find a valid license for Diablo IV. (Code 315306)”. Blizzard has confirmed that these issues are a result of a DDoS attack on its servers.

The DDoS attack has caused overwhelming traffic to Blizzard’s authentication servers, making it difficult for players to log in. The company has assured players that there are no individual problems with the licenses, so there is no need to worry. However, those affected can only try to log in repeatedly, which unfortunately strengthens the DDoS attack.

While players have managed to get into the games, there have been minor issues such as increased latency and rubber banding, where characters are repeatedly pulled back. In “Diablo 4”, the game often briefly stops when teleporting to a city. It is advised for players in hardcore mode to avoid logging in for now, as a connection problem could lead to permanent death for their character.

Blizzard has warned players about the ongoing DDoS attack in the Battle.net client. Despite the difficulties, the servers have become more accessible since noon.

Overall, Blizzard is working to resolve these issues and ensure a smoother gaming experience for its players in the future.
