Say Farewell to the Hilarious Supernatural Comedy, ‘Ghosts’ – Season 5 Concludes

The end of an era: Ghosts comes to a close

The Button House has officially closed its doors for good, marking the end of the British comedy, Ghosts. The show’s creative team, made up of Mathew Baynton, Simon Farnaby, Martha Howe-Douglas, Jim Howick, Laurence Rickard, and Ben Willbond, penned a statement thanking cast and crew, as well as viewers for their support over the five-year run of the series.

Starring Charlotte Ritchie and Kiell Smith-Bynoe, the show’s final season is set to air later this year via UK broadcaster, the BBC, which has confirmed the news with a statement of their own.

“We are officially in mourning at the BBC following the news that Ghosts will be coming to an end after its fifth season. We are so grateful to the show’s creators and stars, as well as the production teams for bringing such a hilarious and successful show to our screens.”

The Future of Ghosts

While the UK incarnation of Ghosts may have come to a close, American audiences can look forward to the upcoming third season of the show’s stateside adaptation. CBS premiered the American version just two years after its UK debut.

As one of the best comedies of recent years, Ghosts is sure to be missed by fans of the show. The BBC has allotted a prime viewing spot for the final season, which promises to end on a high note for the Button House crew, both living and “ghostly.”

The show may be ending, but its legacy and laughter will live on, as fans eagerly await the final season with bittersweet anticipation.
