National team: Sané and Rüdiger not in the DFB squad for Peru and Belgium

On Friday at 2 p.m. March, Federal coach Hansi Flick (58) will unveil the national players in Cologne for the upcoming games. In anticipation of the announcement, Bayern star Thomas Müller (33) and Manchester City captain Ilkay Gündogan (32) have already been left out of the squad, despite being regulars at the World Cup in Qatar. Now, two more top stars have been left out.

According to BILD sources, defender Antonio Rüdiger (30) of Real Madrid will definitely not be included. Additionally, Bayern’s Leroy Sané (27) and Niklas Süle (27) will also be missing from the squad.

Flick had previously stated his desire to give younger players a chance in the upcoming games. In light of this, national coach Mergim Berisha (24) is expected to be on the team. Currently on loan to Augsburg from Fenerbahçe, Berisha has scored eight goals and provided four assists in 18 Bundesliga games.

It remains to be seen how the new, younger squad will perform in the upcoming games, but with some of Germany’s top stars left out, it’s sure to cause a lot of astonishment among fans and pundits alike.
