Roland-Garros – Stan fulfills Arthur’s dream, one of his fans

Tennis is also made up of these small, unusual stories, of dreams coming true, and of encounters with idols. When Arthur Delaye proposed on X (formerly Twitter) to Stan Wawrinka to exchange balls at Bercy, during the Rolex Paris Masters, he surely didn’t think it would actually happen. And yet.

This Monday, this student with a disability (he suffers from cerebral palsy) had the incredible chance and privilege to exchange a few balls on the training courts of Bercy with the Swiss, former world number 3. An opportunity facilitated by the FFT but also by Stan Wawrinka, always happy to please his fans. A beautiful story that also reminds us that we must always believe in our dreams. And that is beautiful.
