Railway Works: Disruptions on Line P and RER E in Paris from Saturday

A “regeneration” project is underway. A 2.5 km stretch of track will be replaced by the SNCF network between Pantin and Noisy-le-Sec over the next two weekends, on February 17-18 and 24-25, 2024. As a result of these works in Seine-Saint-Denis, users of the P line will need to rethink their arrangements, as trains will not serve the Gare de l’Est in Paris during these days, and the service will be reduced on the RER E.

An essential project
These works are intended to replace the entire railway track (rails, sleepers, and ballast) and are essential to maintaining train speed and punctuality. The structure will be more resistant and adapted to weather variability: ultimately a good thing.

SNCF encourages users to consult the Transilien.com website, as well as its mobile app, to stay informed about the construction projects in Île-de-France.
