Qatar ready to leave Paris: A response falls

Holder of a Master’s degree in international law, I realized at the end of my academic journey that it was important to work in a field that you enjoy. Overnight, I decided to end my parents’ dream, who saw me as a future lawyer, to pursue my passion: sports. Since then, I have been covering transfers and sports news, trying to inform readers as best as I can.

The relationship between PSG and the City of Paris is strained. The management of the Parisian club wants to buy the Parc des Princes, but Anne Hidalgo is refusing to meet their demands. In the coming weeks, the club is expected to renew their efforts. Meanwhile, the club has put aside the issue related to the purchase of the Stade de France.

PSG has a new ally. A few days ago, the Parisian club announced the arrival of a minority shareholder, Arctos Partners. The American group has acquired 12.5% of PSG’s shares for €530M.

The Stade de France is not a priority for Qatar. According to Le Parisien, Arctos Partners wants PSG to become the owner of its own stadium, a wish shared by the club’s management. For several months, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi has been trying to buy the Parc des Princes, which is owned by the City of Paris. As of now, the negotiations are at a standstill.

Qatar wants to reach an agreement with Anne Hidalgo. So, PSG considered relocating, particularly to the Stade de France. This information was confirmed by the regional newspaper on Sunday. However, the Parisian club has decided to put this issue aside, with the goal of reaching an agreement with the City of Paris.
