Mercato – PSG: Verratti has negotiated a clause upon his return to Paris

The PSG pushed several key players out this summer. After Lionel Messi, Neymar also left the club to join Saudi Arabia, along with Marco Verratti, who flew to Qatar to join Al-Arabi. However, the connection between Paris and Verratti is undeniable, which is why the Italian has included a clause in his contract allowing him to leave Doha for a week every month, with most of that time spent in Paris.

When Marco Verratti is not playing football, he is practicing paddle. Still very close to PSG president, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, the two men regularly engage in intense games of paddle in Doha. The new Al-Arabi midfielder seems to have made a positive impression in the Qatari league.

“He has shown a good level”

Marco Verratti has made his debut in Qatari football this season by signing with Al-Arabi. For now, his new club seems pleased with his performances, as one club insider told L’Equipe: “We think he has shown a good level, the team has had difficulties, but it’s not Marco who was behind that. He does his job. The level of the championship is better than in previous years, so the club has faced difficulties. But we are very happy with him so far.”

Verratti returns to Paris once a month

On Thursday, L’Equipe revealed that Marco Verratti managed to include a special clause in his contract with Al-Arabi. The clause states that the Italian international can leave Doha once a month for a week. Whenever possible, Marco Verratti returns to Paris, most of the time to be with his wife, Jessica Aidi.
