Protest outside La Salésienne club following accusations of sexual harassment

The association “Mouv’enfants” organized an action on Thursday, January 4 in front of a football club in the 17th arrondissement to denounce the sexual harassment suffered by adolescent girls in the club.

Cleats, jerseys, and a ball crossed with a yellow ribbon. A crime scene was reenacted on Thursday, January 4 in front of the building of the association La Salésienne, located in the 17th arrondissement of Paris.

This symbolic action was carried out by the “Mouv’enfants” association, which denounces the silence of the management while the football section of La Salésienne is targeted by accusations of sexual harassment and assaults on minors.

“At La Salésienne, when a child speaks, they are excluded from the club,” read one of the “Mouv’enfants” association’s banners. “Support for children who are victims of sexual violence at La Salésienne,” could also be seen on the front of the building. Camille, one of the alleged victims, was present outside the club’s premises on Thursday noon.

“There has been a lot of physical bullying, I was locked up, strangled with a chair, I was pushed a lot,” she emotionally recounts. According to Mouv’enfants, the two officials in the crosshairs of allegations revealed last August by our colleagues at Le Parisien, are still in their positions despite a suspension by the Football League and the Ministry of Sports.

“They have been suspended by four different bodies and yet, the club keeps them in their positions and trusts them 100% and prefers to treat me as a liar and a defamer,” denounced the former member. A report was made last summer by officials from the Paris city hall. This led to an inquiry by the Paris prosecutor’s office. It is still ongoing. The Inspectorate General of the City of Paris has also been seized. The parties involved must be interviewed within three months.

The club, on the other hand, denounces a conspiracy. “We need the amalgamations to stop. La Salésienne is following all of this closely and awaits the conclusions of the ongoing investigations. I let justice do its work,” expressed Aymeric de Tilly, president of La Salésienne, to BFM Paris Île-de-France.
