Police Lock Eintracht Ultras in Hotel During Eintracht Frankfurt vs SSC Naples Match

Eintracht Frankfurt – SSC Naples: Police lock Eintracht Ultras in the hotel

Hundreds of Eintracht Ultras arrived in Naples despite being excluded from the match. They were escorted to their hotel by the police where they are staying just 50 meters away from the Eintracht team hotel, that neither fans nor employees are currently allowed to leave.

The day before the round of 16 second leg in Naples, things have been quiet so far, however, Naples fans are said to have stayed around the Eintracht supporters’ hotel. The police are permanently on site with a large contingent in fear of riots between the fan camps at night or on the day of the match.

There is also the possibility that Frankfurt’s hardcore fans will get support from their fellow Bergamo Ultras. UEFA President, Aleksander Ceferin, had expressed his disapproval on ZDF stating that “it’s not possible for the Italian authorities to decide that German fans are not allowed. The decision of the authorities is absolutely wrong. We urgently need to do something about it. We will change the rules.”

Despite the exclusion, Eintracht Ultras are excited to be in Naples and have been causing some crazy scenes. They are staying in a hotel directly on the Mediterranean Sea, 50 meters from the Eintracht team hotel.

A secret national coach plan with Klopp had failed, but Eintracht fans remain undeterred. The police remain on high alert until the day of the match.
