Paris Prevails in Thrilling Eurocup Match against London Lions

Paris had a scare but managed to come out on top. Unlike their easy win against Hamburg last week (105-69), the Parisians had to fight until the very end to defeat the London Lions (106-102 after overtime) on Tuesday, for the fourth day of the Eurocup.

In the first half, the players from the capital seemed to have a good handle on the game against an opponent that was also undefeated in the competition so far (48-41). However, just like Le Mans was defeated in Malaga at the same time (83-74 loss), the players from Paris also experienced a huge slump. Fortunately for them, it didn’t cost them the game, but it was a close call.

TJ Shorts and Nadir Hifi leading the way. Completely disorganized and lacking offensive solutions, Tuomas Iisalo’s team suffered a crushing 25-8 in the third quarter. But, thanks to an unstoppable TJ Shorts (24 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds), the Parisians miraculously managed to catch up in the final moments and force overtime against their hosts.

Although they couldn’t break away from the English team in the first period of overtime, the French team relied on a heroic three-pointer from Nadir Hifi (20 points, 4 rebounds) to take the lead and secure their fourth consecutive victory in the competition.
