Paris: Man Fighting for His Life After Being Stabbed in the Throat

What happened on the night from Friday to Saturday rue de Belleville in Paris (XIXe)? Following a mysterious assault, a man was hospitalized at dawn at Bichat (XVIIIe) while his life was in danger. This Saturday morning, his health was still causing the most serious concerns.

According to our information, the victim received a stab wound to the throat. The rescuers, at the time of their intervention, feared that the carotid artery, which supplies blood to the brain, had been affected. Hence the seriousness of the injury.

The circumstances of this assault are currently quite unclear. The victim was discovered on the sidewalk of Boulevard de la Villette by a passerby who immediately called the fire department. While the man is being taken care of, the police crew that has just arrived on the scene is gathering the first elements. It is learned in particular that the assault did not take place on site but on Rue de Belleville, a street intersected by the boulevard. Two men are said to have attacked the victim.
