Paris FC comes from behind to defeat Lille in a last-minute victory

The players of Paris FC are bringing great excitement to their fans this season. This Sunday, the match against Lille, eleventh (out of twelve) in D1 Arkema, was no exception. Until the 65th minute, none of the two teams had found the back of the net.

Then the game suddenly took off for eleven minutes. Taking advantage of a loss of ball from Daphné Corboz, Anaïs Ribeyra opened the score in favor of the visitors (65th, 0-1). The joy of Rachel Saïdi’s players lasted only five minutes, as Kaja Korosec took advantage of the passivity of the defense to equalize for the first time (70th, 1-1).

In the next minute, Lorena Azzaro, who had just replaced Ribeyra (69th), gave the advantage back to the Northerners (71st, 1-2). But the Parisians, determined not to give up, equalized again through Kessya Bussy, who scored her first goal under the colors of PFC by heading in a free kick from the timeless Gaëtane Thiney (76th, 2-2).

We were heading towards a draw when Korosec scored in injury time on a pass from Bussy (90+6, 3-2). This victory allows Paris FC (28 points) to reduce the gap in the standings with Paris SG (32 pts), held to a draw on Friday on the field of Fleury (1-1) and to widen it with Reims, the fourth (21 pts), beaten by Lyon (4-1) on Saturday.
