Paris Fashion Week kicks off with IFM and Pressiat student fashion show

The Paris Fashion Week kicked off with a bang, starting with the student show from the French Institute of Fashion attended by Brigitte Macron, followed by the Woke n’Roll collection by Pressiat.

Brigitte Macron, along with two ministers and other industry leaders, attended the IFM student show, showcasing the talent of young designers. The event highlighted the French government’s commitment to nurturing emerging talents in the fashion industry.

The IFM show featured 27 students from 13 different nationalities, each presenting their unique collections. Standout designs included Qianhan Liu’s innovative use of materials to create intricate textures and structures, Kira Sander’s unconventional knits resembling stones, and Antonio Romano’s medieval-inspired garments transformed into modern knitwear.

The IFM program includes collaborations with major fashion houses, artistic direction from industry professionals, and seminars on sustainability and innovation. Situated in a modern space in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, the IFM attracts students from diverse backgrounds who study design, craftsmanship, and management.

Pressiat’s Woke n’Roll show was a hot ticket in Paris, showcasing edgy designs and a rebellious spirit. The collection featured bold looks and avant-garde styling, drawing in fashion royalty like Jean-Paul Gaultier and Charles de Vilmorin.

Vincent Pressiat’s designs included statement pieces and unconventional fabrics, creating a buzz in the fashion scene. His daring creations pushed boundaries and celebrated individuality, capturing the essence of the “woke” movement with a Parisian twist.

The fashion extravaganza culminated in a spectacular finale, with actress Julia Fox stealing the show in a mesmerizing gown. Pressiat’s bold aesthetic and fearless approach to design received thunderous applause, solidifying his place as a rising star in the fashion world.
