Bourg-en-Bresse suffered a defeat on the court of Nanterre, while Paris dominated Limoges and put pressure on ASVEL.

Paris Basketball seized the opportunity to put pressure on ASVEL. While ASVEL will face Gravelines-Dunkerque on Sunday, the Capital’s club increased the pressure on the rhodanian team during the match against Limoges at the Adidas Arena. The two teams were neck and neck in the first quarter, but Paris pulled ahead in the ten minutes leading up to halftime, especially thanks to a strong start in the second quarter. The team, led by Nadir Hifi (22 points), went into halftime with a 20-point lead. Although Limoges resisted, Nicolas Lang (23 points, 7 assists) was crucial for his team, which entered the final quarter 28 points behind. Paris managed the end of the match without danger, securing their seventh consecutive victory in the championship (101-77). Meanwhile, Limoges continues to have inconsistent performances, with the playoffs slipping away.

Nanterre slows down Bourg-en-Bresse.

Bourg-en-Bresse faced another defeat in their match against Nanterre. The team, led by Frédéric Fauthoux, started strong, leading throughout the first quarter. However, after an initial lead of eleven points, Bourg-en-Bresse lost their momentum. Nanterre took advantage and ended the first quarter in the lead. The second quarter saw both teams battling it out, with the lead never exceeding six points. At halftime, the score was tied. Pascal Donnadieu’s half-time speech seemed to have an impact as Nanterre, led by Joël Ayayi (26 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists), took control. Bourg-en-Bresse struggled and entered the final quarter with a fourteen-point deficit. Despite Bourg-en-Bresse closing in to just two points, Nanterre held on to win by seven points (105-98) and narrow the gap to just one victory behind their opponents.
