Paris Cup Draw – Ile-de-France Paris League

The draws for the quarter-finals and semi-finals of the Paris Cup in the U15F, U18F, Women’s Futsal Seniors, and Men’s Futsal Seniors categories took place on Tuesday night. Discover below the draws and reactions of the leaders, and above the photos of this event.

The reactions
Julien Canry, coach of Sport Ethique Livry (Men’s Futsal, R3): “I am happy with this draw. Diamant is the best at the regional level. They are currently first in their championship and undefeated. We have already played against them in the National Cup, where we won 4-3, so I think they will be seeking revenge. It will be a great encounter for a small club like us, and we are very proud to host such a prestigious team. Our goal is to go as far as possible in the competition, and that starts with facing Diamant in the quarter-finals. I enjoy the atmosphere of the draw because we get to see familiar faces of coaches and presidents we regularly encounter. It’s always a pleasant moment. Plus, I was lucky to win a prize, so I am doubly happy.”

Dominique Lebreton, vice-president of Paris FC: “At this level, there are no small teams. The advantage is that we will be playing at home. We will have a Parisian derby against PUC in the U18F category, which is always nice. It’s a good draw, but we must be modest and not underestimate our opponents. The goal is to reach the final. In fact, there could be Parisian finals, as PSG is also in the competition (in U15F and U18F). During the draws, we encounter people off the field, which reduces the stress.”

David Lobeau, coach of AS Bondy (U18F, R3): “We are satisfied because we are playing at home. We are facing a mid-table R1 team (FC Rueil-Malmaison) in the quarter-finals, and anything is possible. Our goal is to go all the way. It’s the first time we have reached this stage of the competition, so there are two matches left to reach the final, and we will try our best. As an R3 team, we are the underdogs. There are favorites, but we will play our chance to the fullest.”

Elhudy Deroze, coach of Torcy Futsal EU (Women’s Futsal Seniors, R1): “It’s a good draw, it will be a great match. We are playing at home, which is already a good thing for us. We are facing an R1 team (Garges FCM) who will have a strong squad. The context will make it a big match. We will prepare well and do everything to qualify for the semi-finals. We take it match by match, we have a good team, so we believe we can win every game, no matter the opponent. We don’t have a specific goal, we just try to go as far as possible and see where it takes us. It’s always nice to see all the clubs from Île-de-France during the draw, with some surprising results like Diamant’s.”

Mohamed Kasmi, coach of Garges FCM (U15F, R3): “A very difficult draw, we drew the defending champions (PSG). This is our first season in 11-a-side football competition. After our good run in this competition, it will be an opportunity to see if we have progressed in all phases of the game. It will be interesting to compete against a big club. Our goal was to reach the quarter-finals, which we have achieved. But inevitably, when we reach the top eight teams in Île-de-France, we start to dream bigger, especially in our first year of competition. It’s not necessarily the draw we were hoping for, but we will prepare for this match seriously and try to qualify.”
