Paris: Actor Gilles Lellouche to kick off Champs-Élysées illuminations this year

An actor follows an actor. After Tahar Rahim last year, Gilles Lellouche will kick off the Champs-Élysées Christmas lights, announced the Champs-Élysées committee on Monday, October 30th. The French actor, a close friend of Jean Dujardin, will press the button on November 19th at 7:25 PM, according to the organizer. The garlands lining the street, known as “the most beautiful avenue in the world,” will shine until the end of the holiday season.

Last year, the Champs-Élysées committee decided to turn off the lights earlier, at 11:45 PM instead of the usual 2 AM, in the context of energy conservation.
