Paris 2024: French Golf’s Delicious Turning Point Before the Olympic Games

The wait had been very long, to say the least. It allowed for putting things into perspective, thinking that ultimately, waiting forty years to see a Frenchman triumph at Roland-Garros or win the Tour de France with the yellow jersey wasn’t that long. By winning the Farmers Insurance Open on January 27th at Torrey Pines, Matthieu Pavon put an end to a centuries-old drought. Indeed, it had been 117 years since a Frenchman had won on the PGA Tour, the prestigious North American golf circuit.
