Celebrating Thanksgiving in Paris is a unique experience not to be missed. Paris is getting ready to host the iconic American tradition of Thanksgiving. Celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November, this year it falls on November 23rd, 2023, this celebration, born in the United States, embodies the values of sharing and gratitude.

This American tradition has found an echo in the City of Light. Paris has adopted this celebration with enthusiasm in recent years. Parisian hotels, in particular, have taken advantage of this opportunity to offer a unique culinary and cultural experience, combining French elegance with the convivial spirit of Thanksgiving. An experience not to be missed!

Some of the top places to enjoy Thanksgiving in Paris include the Sofitel Le Scribe Paris Opéra, the Kimpton St Honoré Paris, the Hôtel Pullman Paris Montparnasse, the Marriott Champs-Élysées Paris, and the Mama Shelter La Défense.

The chic and trendy Sofitel Le Scribe Paris Opéra is celebrating Thanksgiving with a special dinner prepared by talented Chef Martin Simolka. The menu includes pumpkin soup, autumn vegetable salad, corn madeleines, and, of course, the traditional stuffed turkey. In addition, there will be a live band to create a warm and festive atmosphere. The price for the special Thanksgiving menu on November 23 is 75 euros per person, excluding drinks.

Another option is the Kimpton St Honoré Paris, where the Montecito, the California-style restaurant of the hotel, will be hosting a special evening on November 23. The chef has prepared a menu inspired by the classic flavors of Thanksgiving with a touch of modernity and creativity. The price for the menu is 85 euros per person.

The Hôtel Pullman Paris Montparnasse on the left bank is hosting a festive buffet dinner at Umami Burger Paris. The buffet will feature a selection of traditional American dishes including deviled eggs with cocktail sauce and jalapeño, and, of course, the traditional stuffed turkey. The price for the menu is 48 euros per person and 29 euros for children under 12 years of age.

At the Paris Marriott Champs Élysées Hotel, guests will enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner composed of roasted sweet potatoes with chestnut honey, strained sheep’s cheese and crystallized pecans, followed by stuffed turkey with autumn flavors, scented rice with cinnamon, roasted vegetables, and a rich poultry juice. The traditional pecan tart will be served for dessert. The Thanksgiving menu is priced at 59 euros.

Mama Shelter Paris La Défense will be hosting a festive evening on Friday, November 24, with a buffet featuring roast turkey, cornbread, and pumpkin pies. The evening will be animated with live performances, American football and baseball games, and images of the Thanksgiving parade from New York. The price for the buffet is 39 euros for adults and 16 euros for children.

Other venues in Paris where you can enjoy a Thanksgiving meal include Verjus, Coffee Parisien, Joe Allen, Sunday in Soho, and Harry’s Bar, all of which are offering special menus or events to celebrate this American tradition.
